With the release of Watch the Throne and everything, it has everyone contemplating all the possibilities of future collaborations in the game. Well after some thought here at the ESP, I have come up with some hip-hop collaborations we wish would happen. I give you the collabo, a made up album title, hopeful production and the possibility that it ever actually happens. Hopefully this will ignite a spark and we might actually see some of these come to life one day. Also if you have an idea of a collaboration that isn’t of the list, let me know in the comments. So without further adieu check out the Top Hip-Hop Collaboration Albums We Wish Would Happen + vote for which would be the best collaboration below!

Mac Miller released his sixth mixtape on March 11th, 2011. The funny thing is (well it’s not actually funny) that the mixtape is titled Best Day Ever and it just so happened to be released on the same day as the Japan disaster, not the best day ever for them. But Mac still released one of my favorite projects of the entire year as it came in at number six on my Top 25 Albums of the Year (So Far). I have followed Mac come up ever since the release of The Jukebox and it is amazing to see him blow up to the extent that he has today. So hit the jump for the review on Mac Miller’s mixtape Best Day Ever!

This has been one of the strongest weeks for music releases in recent memory. We got new music from Kanye & Jay, Rockie Fresh, Curren$y with Wiz Khalifa and Big Sean, Hoodie Allen, H.O.P.E., Huey Mack, Sonny Shotz and Royce da 5’9″. I put up eight tracks because there was absolutely no way I could narrow it down to five, I even had to cut out solid releases from Emilio Rojas and two other releases from Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean and Curren$y from the list. Well, hit the jump to stream each track!

The newest addition to the ESP involves Chapel Hill Native, Special-K, going in about what is bothering him in the Music World and Sports World. Special-K is an aspiring rap-artist; so go check his stuff out on YouTube. These episodes will premiere once every two weeks – every other weekend – right here on the Eastside Perspective, so keep checking back to tune in for future episodes. Enjoy.
