With summer almost over, I’m counting down the ten best albums that were released during our time away from school. Before summer I counted down the ten most anticipated albums of the summer, so how did that list compare to what was actually released and lived up to the hype? Just slighty over three years after their critically acclaimed EP The Bake Sale, The Cool Kids finally released their highly anticipated debut studio album When Fish Ride Bicycles. The Chicago duo consisting of Mikey Rocks and Chuck Inglish have slightly evolved since their last release, their sound has become more refined and contemporary. But don’t worry it still has that unique, bass rattling, golden age throwback hip-hop style to it. With Chuck and The Neptunes handling the production and some big name guest features, The Cool Kids are out to prove that the album was worth the wait.

Overall it’s been a good week for new music, not the best but not the worst. We managed to get releases from Game, Mac Miller, The Cool Kids, Consequence, Common and a monster mashup with Childish Gambino. Check out all the tracks and listen to them after the jump!
