With the release of Watch the Throne and everything, it has everyone contemplating all the possibilities of future collaborations in the game. Well after some thought here at the ESP, I have come up with some hip-hop collaborations we wish would happen. I give you the collabo, a made up album title, hopeful production and the possibility that it ever actually happens. Hopefully this will ignite a spark and we might actually see some of these come to life one day. Also if you have an idea of a collaboration that isn’t of the list, let me know in the comments. Labels have searched tirelessly for the next great white rapper ever since Eminem first broke onto the scene in 1999. They failed. But there is a new generation of white emcees ready to breakthrough into the mainstream. Let’s go two years back, Asher Roth was on the rise. He had a very successful mixture to his name, The Greenhouse Effect, and his hit single I Love College was tearing up the charts. On a side note Asher has one of my favorite lines ever on his A Millie Freestyle where he goes “you stupid m***********s don’t get it, it’s pathetic, cause you get to the pros and don’t do s**t like you Reddick”, best line ever. So I’m going to start doing something new here at the ESP. Every Wednesday night around 10:00 I’m going to do something similar to the New Music of the Week posts. I’m going to select five different tracks that have been on rotation the most during the past week. They can be new, old, rap, rock, pop, whatever. I’ll talk a little about each track and give you a stream, download, ect. It’s just going to be about good music. The posts are normally going to more around ten o’clock, not this late. So without further adieu hit the jump for the first edition of Wednesday Night Shuffle and be on the lookout for them every Wednesday night!

Mac Miller released his sixth mixtape on March 11th, 2011. The funny thing is (well it’s not actually funny) that the mixtape is titled Best Day Ever and it just so happened to be released on the same day as the Japan disaster, not the best day ever for them. But Mac still released one of my favorite projects of the entire year as it came in at number six on my Top 25 Albums of the Year (So Far). I have followed Mac come up ever since the release of The Jukebox and it is amazing to see him blow up to the extent that he has today. So hit the jump for the review on Mac Miller’s mixtape Best Day Ever!
