With the release of Watch the Throne and everything, it has everyone contemplating all the possibilities of future collaborations in the game. Well after some thought here at the ESP, I have come up with some hip-hop collaborations we wish would happen. I give you the collabo, a made up album title, hopeful production and the possibility that it ever actually happens. Hopefully this will ignite a spark and we might actually see some of these come to life one day. Also if you have an idea of a collaboration that isn’t of the list, let me know in the comments. So today I’m going to do a review on the five song EP by Childish Gambino and since it’s relatively short I’ll include each song to listen to. It has actually been one of my most played projects of the year so far, despite being just a short EP. It also came in at number eighteen on my Top 25 Albums of the Year (So Far). And since the EP is only five tracks long, I threw in an extra at the end. So hit the jump for the review and stream each track!

It’s hard to believe that we are already halfway through 2011. Even harder for some to believe that there have been so many good releases in music already. That being said I’ve cooked up my Top 25 releases of the year so far. Rather than try to breakup mixtapes and official releases (which have become pretty much one in the same lately), I decided to lump them all together and give you my take on the twenty-five best releases at the midway point of 2011. Hit the jump for the countdown and let me know what your favorites are in the c-section!
