If you can remember back to the very first post ever on this blog from the music section, then you’ll see that there was some Dylan Owen on there. If you’re not familiar, Dylan Owen is an up and coming artist from Ithaca, NY who has been rising for the last couple months. His story started very similar to many other indie rappers as he first began free-styling in middle school and building a name for himself through battles. He then transformed to writing full songs and rapping full time. And the rest is history.

And we have another music submission for today’s post. Yes I know, I’m scratching my head too. I’ve heard of e-dubble before but I guess never really got around to looking him up further. Now I’m not actually sure if I received the submission from e-dubble himself, I doubt it, but whoever sent this to me, I want to thank you. e-dubble is the definition of dope and I think it’s time to add another to list of already growing white emcees who are taking over the industry. And honestly with what I’ve listened to far from e-dubble, it seems like he can be up there and compete with those other artists. Don’t believe me? Just check below.

If you don’t already listen to Hopsin, you’ve probably heard his name before. He was featured on a standout track off Tech N9NE’s All 6’s and 7’s, Am I a Psycho? which was the first time I ever heard of him. He might have actually had my favorite verse off said song, but I guess I was just too lazy to look up more stuff by him (terrible decision). Well I finally got around to it a couple weeks back because I had heard nothing but the best about him. And let me tell you that this man lives up to and exceeds everything said about him. If you want a sense of his style, well here you go: he has the hunger and emotion of a younger Eminem, the flow and sound of Tech N9NE and a slightly less dark side than Brotha Lynch Hung. Just being mentioned among those names should be enough to warrant a chance to listen to him. Did I also mention that he produces all of his own records?
