It’s finally here!!! Ohh J. Cole, where to begin with you? Well first let me state that he is my second favorite emcee ever (behind Kendrick Lamar of course) and that I have been looking forward to this album for a long time now. I have been on J. Cole ever since the release of The Come Up and it’s incredible to see him achieve the status that he has come to today. I don’t really want to ramble on about this and that going into the album, so without further adieu hit the jump for the review on the Roc Nation emcee’s debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story!

Have you ever wanted to have that one rap group that can joke and mess around but still drop hard hitting bars? Enter Das Racist. A group based out of Brooklyn, NY composed of rappers Himanshu Suri (aka Heems, on left) and Victor Vazquez (aka Kool A.D., on right), joined by hype man Ashok Kondabolu, known as Dap (in middle), for live performances and in music videos. They are known for their unorthodox style and use of humor. Das Racist has been called everything from a complete joke of a group to the urgent new voice needed in the game today. They are a more serious version of The Lonely Island, in that they joke a lot but still drop real songs. They certainly won’t be for everyone because of their style, but they should be considered a serious threat in the game of rap.

Was I the only one who wasn’t even looking forward to this album that much? After an absolutely terrible single in How to Love and a pretty bad mixtape in Sorry 4 the Wait combined with other recent Wayne stuff, I have a feeling he’s almost lost it. And this album may be his last chance (at least for me), to prove that he can still go back to the man who made Tha Carter III. I’ll be honest, I’m not expecting too much out of this album, except for a few tracks and those are only because of guest appearances. Well did Tha Carter IV bring back the old Lil Wayne, or is it a huge flop? Check out the review below!

It’s been almost three years since the first supposed release date for The R.E.D. Album. After tons and tons of push backs and forty promotional mixtapes, it’s finally here. The album has some serious guest appearances and with the buzz Game has been building from mixtapes and a publicity stunt, its anticipation is as high as it will ever be. Every album from Game has been extremely good (not sure if the same can not be said about his mixtapes), so I’m expecting a lot out of the Compton emcee on this album. Was the album worth the three year wait? Check out the review of The R.E.D. Album below!

And with time running out on the shot clock in the 4th quarter, The Weeknd alley-oops Thursday to the world right before the buzzer hit on Friday. You can say that he dropped this out of no where and then he tweeted “f**k… it’s finally Thursday”. And like that the anticipation for this grew sky high, everyone wondering whether he would drop it or not. Well he did release it and managed to even crash his own website. If Thursday has the same kind of success that House of Balloons had (one of the best projects of the entire year), then it could propel The Weeknd into stardom and solidify him as one of the most talented musicians today, period. I don’t know if it’s even possible for me to build any more hype for this project, it’s already sky high. So without further adieu check out the review of The Weeknd’s Thursday + stream and download below!
