Artist On the Rise: Dylan Owen

If you can remember back to the very first post ever on this blog from the music section, then you’ll see that there was some Dylan Owen on there. If you’re not familiar, Dylan Owen is an up and coming artist from Ithaca, NY who has been rising for the last couple months. His story started very similar to many other indie rappers as he first began free-styling in middle school and building a name for himself through battles. He then transformed to writing full songs and rapping full time. And the rest is history.

Album Review: Cole World: The Sideline Story by J. Cole
Posted: September 20, 2011 by eptarheels23 in Album Review, MusicTags: Album Review, Cole World: The Sideline Story, J. Cole, Jay-Z, Missy Elliot, Roc Nation, Trey Songz
It’s finally here!!! Ohh J. Cole, where to begin with you? Well first let me state that he is my second favorite emcee ever (behind Kendrick Lamar of course) and that I have been looking forward to this album for a long time now. I have been on J. Cole ever since the release of The Come Up and it’s incredible to see him achieve the status that he has come to today. I don’t really want to ramble on about this and that going into the album, so without further adieu hit the jump for the review on the Roc Nation emcee’s debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story!
Artist On the Rise: e-dubble

And we have another music submission for today’s post. Yes I know, I’m scratching my head too. I’ve heard of e-dubble before but I guess never really got around to looking him up further. Now I’m not actually sure if I received the submission from e-dubble himself, I doubt it, but whoever sent this to me, I want to thank you. e-dubble is the definition of dope and I think it’s time to add another to list of already growing white emcees who are taking over the industry. And honestly with what I’ve listened to far from e-dubble, it seems like he can be up there and compete with those other artists. Don’t believe me? Just check below.
