It’s time for the eighth edition of Wednesday Night Shuffle! If you aren’t familiar, then here’s the deal: I’m going to select some different tracks that have been on rotation the most during the past week. They can be new, old, rap, rock, pop, whatever. I’ll talk a little about each track and give you a stream, download, ect. It’s just going to be about good music. So without further adieu hit the jump for the eighth edition of Wednesday Night Shuffle and be on the lookout for them every Wednesday night!

Childish Gambino – Bonfire
Honestly, this is one of my favorite songs of the entire year up to this point. The first official single off Childish Gambino’s upcoming album, Camp which is expected to drop in November, is classic CG. This track really reminds me of Freaks & Geeks and has Gambino going hard for all three minutes. Once again he drops clever line after clever line such as “made the beat and murdered it, Casey Anthony” and “black and white music, now that’s a mixtape”. That last line is one of my favorite CG lines ever, it means Childish uses elements of some styles of music that many consider “white” music and combines them with hip-hop, which many consider “black” music. He takes the two and creates a mixtape (“mixed-tape”), like children whose parents are different races are called “mixed”.

Wale – Varsity Blues
The Eleven One Eleven Theory dropped a while back and even managed to crash hulkshare.com; and was extremely well received by fans and critics alike. While I’m not that huge fan of the tape, it certainly had its bright spots. And Varsity Blues was by far the best record on the mixtape. It reminded me of the pre-MMG Wale that I loved. Even though Attention Deficit sold like forty copies (slight exaggeration), it was one of my favorite albums of the year. 90210 and Beautiful Bliss with J. Cole are incredible songs and will always be favorite of mine.

Mac Miller – Face the Facts
Boy did Mac and DJ Premier leave a treat for us this week. When Primo let loose this joint, Mac announced that this track was off an upcoming mixtape, titled 92 Till Infinity, that would drop before Blue Slide Park on 11/8. Mac really impressed me on this record, mainly with his flow. Just check the 1:15 mark and tell me this man can’t flow.

Casey Veggies – Ridin’ Roun Town (Remix) [feat. C-San, Dom Kennedy & Kendrick Lamar]
Mr. Peas and Carrots released the deluxe edition of his debut mixtape, Sleeping In Class, yesterday and it contained features from Mac Miller, Tyler The Creator, Mann and many more. Ridin’ Roun Town is Casey’s biggest song to date and the remix has taken the track to a whole new level, mainly because of Kendrick. His verse is insane and once again Kendrick Lamar shows everyone why he is one of the best (if not the best) artist making music today.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – Make the Money
These two just can’t do anything wrong, every track they’ve made has been straight fire. Released today, this is definitely one of their best tracks to date. A solemn beat from Ryan Lewis sets the stage for Macklemore to pour his heart and soul into. If you’re not vibing with this, then something is seriously wrong with you.

Gilbere Forte’ – Black Chukkas (Remix) [feat. Asher Roth & Bun B]
One of my favorite Gilbere Forte’ tracks gets a make over with new verses from Ash Roth and Bun B. The track is a certified banger and these all three artists go in on it. Even though Bun B is a legend in the game, I love he is always willing to lend a hand to young, up and coming artists. That’s what a true legend should do, and we salute you for that Bun.
