It’s time we introduced a new west coast up and comer. Allow me to put Pmac in that slot. Hailing from San Francisco, Pmac is a talent that needs to be shared with the world. He has incredible wordplay and has a solid list of producers to get beats from. As you can tell from the picture, Pmac is of Asian decent. It’s time we had an Oriental rapper make in big in the music scene here in the United States. We have groups/artists on the brink such as Far East Movement and Jin, but Pmac might be the most promising of the whole group. He has the ability to appeal to any music listener and with his talents behind the mic, so expect to see his name a lot more often.

Pmac released his first project First Impressions earlier this year and without a doubt it is one of the more underrated mixtapes so far. It features sick lyrics, dope production and solid guest appearances. The best record on the tape by far is One. It contains a sample of The Three Dogs version of One which makes for a crazy beat. He drops dope lines such as “between music, money, fans and friends, I hope all of the above is on the scantron then” and “people I barley know tellin me they love me, two face friend only in it for the money”. You also need to watch the music video for it, it’s creative and shows what Pmac brings to the table as an artist.

Another of my favorites off the tape is Get Away. Over a sick beat filled with low drum and sythn kicks that need to be blasted in your car, Pmac raps about getting away from the job he hates. It is a crazy song and shows off how crazy Pmac is as a rapper. Another song I want to highlight is a remix to Otis which features Daily City, CA rapper Adrian Per. Before you go “oh no, not another Otis remix” listen to it. You will not be disappointed. The two exchange bars just like Kanye and Jay, but the track still feels like theirs. Pmac’s flow is downright nasty on it and you’ll be hitting repeat all day long (annoying beat and all).

Pmac has a huge online following and dedicated fans, making for an oppurtinity to blow up. With just one tape to his name, Pmac needs some more solid offerings to expand his fan base. But with his talent and ability behind the mic, only time is the thing that separates Pmac from stardom.
